Here are the rules of Canter Away :
General; 1. Please, no spamming. 2. No god-modding/power playing. PM an admin if you do not know what this is. 3. Please ask M'tay the password for a the rated board if you would like to make a thread there. 4. Post in third person only. 5. Please post with at least a paragraph, and give your mate something to work with. 6. Try to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 7. No political/religious things, please. 8. Please, keep the advertisements in the advertisement board, and out of the Cbox and message boards. 9. Have respect for EVERY member of Canter Away.
Images; 1. If your going to use a celebrity image, or an image of a horse, please please please, make sure you have permission from the photographer to use the image. Unless you use flickr.com . 2. Use flickr.com to find images, and search using "Creative Commons". Or use Google (please read the rule below). 3. If you are going to use pictures off of Google, please follow all of the other rules in this category. Do not hotlink; simply upload your images to Photobucket, Tinypic, wImg, ect. 4. Leave credit on the photos. I.E. (C)photographer's OR owner's name here of flickr.com OR site name
Characters; 1. Please, try to keep it realistic. No one is perfect. 2. Your person may not be famous, or descend off of anyone famous. You may look like a celebrity though. 3. Ages 13-18 only. 4. Wait for your character application to be accepted by a staff member before making any other posts, except in the face claim/OOC area. 5. Your person shouldn't be the perfect rider, make them have some flaws. (: 6. Keep the ages close to their riding ability, no one would have been riding for 2 years would be the perfect rider. 7. Only 3 characters per account. If you want to have more characters, feel free to make another account. 8. Please mark dialog with either "quotation marks", bolded, italicized, or color of your choice (color must be different color than what you are typing your message in).
Horses; 1. Your character may own up to two horses each, though you can buy/sell horses at any time, make sure your character only owns 2 horses at a time. 2. When measuring a horse in hands, it should be either .0, .1, or .2 . 3. Keep it realistic, no super horse can jump over 8". 4. Please keep the age and training level of a horse legitimate, no 2 year old horse should already be jumping courses, and no 28 year old should be jumping courses either. 5. You can either own a horse, or ride a school horse. Not both. 6. Your horse's application form must also be accepted by a staff member.
