Ashley Adams mounted again, having left the indoor arena. Looming ahead of her were the jumps she wanted to work Ivory through. Ashley was angry with Valkryie. When did it become her right to accuse her own riding? Sighing, she once again gathered up the reins and walked Ivory along the outside ring. Ivory pulled at the reins and chewed the bit; knowing that she could warmup faster if she trotted; but Ashley kept her at a firm walk. She knew that if she let Ivory have her way, she would be tired out.
After a few laps of walking and trotting, Ashley once again picked up a fast canter. She approached the first jump: a double oxer combination. Ivory nearly stepped over it, as it was fairly low. Next was the triple oxer combinations. Ivory cleared them too, but it took a little effort as she had to jump higher to clear it, since she was a little over 15.2 hands. One by one Ivory cleared all the jumps, and was rewarded with a quick pat before being asked to go over the jump course again. When the pair made a new record time, Ashley cheered and patted Ivory, "Good work, Ivory. That's all for today; we can work longer tomorrow, when Tristian comes to help out." Then, Ashley gave Ivory a long rein and slowed her to a slow trot to cool down, gradually working down to a slow walk.
